As a non-profit organization, you trust us to add value to society. We pledge to do so. The following are some of the many practices we employ to help keep us accountable.
Ethical Integrity: Our staff and board know that even the appearance of wrong-doing can destroy public trust. We adhere to a strict standard by which no individual may inappropriately benefit from his or her affiliation with the organization.
All board members and senior staff members sign a disclosure statement each year verifying that they have no known conflicts of interest with their service as an employee or board member of JNPA.
Financial Integrity: Each year our board of directors contracts with an external firm to conduct and complete and thorough audit of the organization's finances.
Whistleblower Protection: Our board has adopted a "Whistleblower Policy" that encourages the reporting of suspected misconduct or financial irregularities. In addition to internal points of contact, reports can be filed anonymously via a confidential third-party hotline thus encouraging reporting and deterring wrongdoing.
Public Information File: In compliance with federal law, the organization freely makes available organization tax filings upon request. Any such requests, directed to the organization's Director of Administration/CFO are fulfilled in a timely manner.
