License Plate Orders

Be the first on your block to display the eye-catching Missouri license plate featuring the Gateway Arch! In addition to showing your pride in the symbol of St. Louis, your tax-deductible contribution also helps children ages 5-17 years-old learn about the people, places and events related to St. Louis history and America's westward expansion during the 1800s.

COMMON QUESTIONS

When can I renew my plates?

You can renew your license plate at any time regardless of your renewal date. Upgrades within 6 months of your renewal date constitute an early renewal. In this case, your anniversary does not change. If you upgrade when you have more than 6 months to go, you can pay the state $2 at the time of pick up to reset your renewal date.

How do I qualify for a two-year renewal?

You are eligible to order two-year plates if your renewal year and the year of your car are both even numbers or are both odd numbers. If you don't qualify this year, you can order a one-year renewal now. Next year you should qualify for a two-year renewal.

Who can I call for help?

If you still have questions, ask the Department of Revenue, your local license office or call us weekdays at (314) 678-1522.
